DealHoJaye: Many top Indian portals have entered the group-buying vertical recently and Rediff joined the bandwagon in April this year. The sheer scale with which Rediff has launched their service is astounding – exclusive deals in 40 suburbs and expanding. We put it is as ‘suburbs’ since they have split major metros such as Delhi and Mumbai further into regions. This is very much necessary in large cities and we anticipate other major daily-deal sites to follow the act, i.e., providing hyper-targeted location based deals to subscribers.
The page itself sports a very clean look, so much that even very basic social elements in the site are missing (the share-bar for facebook, twitter, etc. is missing). The facebook fanpage has just 5 likes and hardly any activity.
